You and fencers from your country are invited to The Levi Open Arctic Challenge, a Celebration of Sword and Snow, 30 January - 1 February 2008 in Finnish Lapland. This is the twelfth year of holding a fencing competition in Levi, 180 km north of the Arctic Circle. It has always been especially popular with veterans from around the world.
When you are not on the fencing piste, you can try out the skiing piste or the many other activities of Levi.
The clean, natural snow of Levi is exotic even for Finnish people. Levi has just hosted a FIS slalom World Cup and the slopes are certain to have plenty of snow until well into the spring. Besides 44 downhill slopes and 230 km of cross-country trails, there's snowmobiling, reindeer sledding, husky mushing and snowshoeing. Though it is cold in late January, the sun is emerging from it's winter's sleep and layers of clothes will keep you warm.
In Levi there is also much to do inside. Relax at the spa with a pool and saunas at the venue. Or shop at the dozens of retail stores that have recently opened in Levi center. Or indulge yourself at one of our more than 40 restaurants. There are also many pubs and nightclubs where you can dance and drink the evening away.
Getting to Levi is easy. You can fly into Helsinki or Stockholm (Blue 1 only) and connect to Kittilä (Finnair and Blue 1), or some companies may have seats available on charter fights. Buses await scheduled flights for the 15 minute ride to Levi.

Básicamente dice que se puede hacer esgrima en las pistes, y que luego se puede hacer ski en las pistes.
Y que hay pubs, y night clubs, y luego die que sleep and layers, que debe ser voluntarios que te pone la organización para que te mantengan caliente en la cama, que allí en Enero por lo visto aún es invierno.
O algo así.
Es que el inglés se me da bien. A lo mejor voy.

lo que dice exactamente es que el sol está saliendo de su sueño de invierno (supongo que será por los periodos de noche-dia de las tierras del norte) y que todavía hace frio, y que las capas de ropa te ayudarán a mantenerte calentito, ya que todavía es invierno.
PD: la idea de que una finesa me caliente la cama es atractiva ,pero creo que en este caso no se refiere a eso xDDD

Cómo? Que los veteranos finlandeses nos invitan a ver la puesta de sol desde las pistas de ski mientras los voluntarios nos preparan la cama para cuando acabemos con los night clubs? ¿Y que además nos dan un curso de inglés y si eres "moro" no te molestes ni en llevar la espada?
Pues yo también me lo pensaré. Más que nada por lo del curso de inglés, eh?

Pues a mí mi madre no me deja. Acaba de leer todos vuestros comentarios y me ha dicho que me dedique al parchís que es un gran deporte de riesgo, que este es un poco 'raro' con todas esas propuestas de calentar la cama, cursos de lenguas, soles, ropas y demás. Yo pensaba ir, pero me la habéis liado buena. Voy a tener que escaparme.
